We recently hosted a dynamic breakfast meeting in collaboration with Securex Agencies Ltd and Amarante International, focusing on the critical role of technology-driven solutions and strategic risk management in protecting businesses across East Africa.
Kicked off by our Director, Laure Paugam, the session featured insights from Mohit Sahni , Managing Director Securex Agencies Ltd, Jérôme Pasinetti Senior Director of Africa at Amarante Africa and Boris Arnault, Project Manager E.A. at Amarante Africa, who shared expertise on navigating complex regional challenges.
The discussion highlighted the impact of political instability, economic uncertainty, and conflict on business operations, particularly in high-risk regions such as Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Somalia. Meanwhile, Uganda and Tanzania show promise amidst economic transitions.
In Kenya, security concerns range from terror threats and banditry to increasing urban crime, especially in Nairobi and Mombasa.
Speakers emphasized the importance of proactive risk identification, physical and cyber security, and crisis management planning as essential tools for resilience. Additionally, integrating client satisfaction, insurance guidance, and global health into risk strategies ensures long-term business continuity.
