Breakfast Meeting with EY Kenya

Global CEO Outlook Pulse Survey

We were thrilled to partner with EY Kenya (ernst & young) for a thought-provoking breakfast meeting today. The session highlighted key insights from their 2024 Global CEO Outlook Pulse Survey, which surveyed over 2,000 CEOs worldwide.
The discussion, led by Nancy Muhoya, EY’s Regional Managing Partner, and Denis Mugisha, Assurance Partner, provided invaluable perspectives on:

- CEO Resilience: CEO's continue to prioritize growth, aiming for profitability and sustainability despite the current macro-economic environment.

- Sustainability Challenges: While CEOs are committed to decarbonizing their businesses, some have had to de-prioritize sustainability due to financial constraints. Interestingly, companies are increasingly adopting "green hushing" in response to "green washing."

- Investor Confidence: The survey revealed that investor optimism has decreased, but CEOs remain focused on maintaining resilience in their operations.

- The conversation also highlighted the need for talent retention in Africa and the growing impact of technological innovation in shaping business strategies.

Thank you to our insightful speakers and our members for their active engagement throughout the session. Let's continue the conversation and work towards a more sustainable and profitable future for all businesses.
