The first Eu-Kenya Business Forum

The French Chamber of Kenya was part of the first-ever Eu-Kenya Business Forum. 

On the 21st and 22nd of February, the first EU-Kenya Business Forum was organized by the European Union in partnership with KEPSA and European Business Council. This forum gathered high-level officials from the EU and the government of Kenya, amongst them being the French Chamber of Commerce, as a founding member of the European Business Council (EBC). 

During this forumour Executive Director Laure Paugam moderated a high-profile panel discussion on business opportunities in agro-processing, highlighting the many opportunities for win-win partnerships between EU and Kenyan businesses. Moreover, our Executive Director had the honor to be invited to the round table to meet the Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Olivier BECHT. You can access the Panel Discussion here

As stated in opening speeches by CS Investments, Trade and Industry Moses Kuria, French Minister for Foreign Trade Olivier BECHT, and EU Ambassador in Kenya Henriette Geiger, the EU is Kenya's first trade partner.

With these words, HE William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, officially opened the first EU- Kenya Business.

This forum aimed to strengthen Kenya and the EU's collaboration in key business sectors such as mobility, access to water & sanitation, renewable energy, agribusiness, and sustainable construction to create new opportunities and jobs, build capacity, fight climate change, and eradicate poverty.
