Today's breakfast meeting in partnership with EuroCham Kenya, was a timely and thought-provoking panel discussion on the evolving risk environment for businesses in Kenya and how leaders can build resilience in the face of uncertainty .
The session, kicked off by Julien PIOGER, General Manager, CFAO Mobility Kenya and moderated by Caroline Englund, Acting GM, EuroCham Kenya the panel brought together industry experts including; Lucas Ndolo, Country Manager, SGA Security, Sienna J. Dutkowski, Director, Lady Askari Kenya, Jonathan Leonard, Senior Operations Manager, Control Risks and Samuel Muthoka, Director East and Horn of Africa Ipsos in Kenya.
The conversation explored the complex interplay between Kenya’s political realignments, economic shifts and the rising need for business preparedness. While the current climate presents challenges, speakers agreed that Kenya’s strong private sector, youth potential and position as East Africa’s economic hub offer real opportunities for growth and innovation.
As the session came to a close, the messages were clear: planning ahead is no longer optional, security must be strategic and businesses have a duty of care that starts with honesty and preparedness. As Jonathan aptly quoted, “Things happen and life goes on.” Let’s ensure our businesses do too.
