On Wednesday 3rd August we hosted a webinar on Kenya Election Preparedness, with presentations from our members Ipsos and Texas Alarms Limited. Samuel Muthoka, Ipsos Director of East and Horn of Africa, took the participants through the factors that have contributed to the shaping of the upcoming elections from the public's perspective; factors such as media reach and the economic situation of the citizens. He also shared findings from their latest research surveys, giving sample sentiments of the public in terms of candidate preferences and pertinent issues in the minds of the people. Texas Alarms, presented by Shakila Jivanji and George Onyango, Marketing and Operations Managers respectively, gave an overview of security in Kenya during the elections period. George also gave directives and key pointers on safety and emergency during the civic duty season. We thank Ipsos and Texas Alarms for the presentation and all our members in attendance.
