Risk Management Strategies for your Business
On Thursday 12 th of October 2023, we held an interactive session with one of our members, Adili Group on Risk Management Strategies. The expertise at Adili expounded on the Risks impacting business, Cyber Security, Corporate Intelligence and Due diligence issues affecting the modern-day business Market. The Speakers elaborated more on the Economic and Social impact of these risks on the business and the Country as a whole.
Mr. William Cox Oelofse, Director Risk Advisory Services at Adili Group presented a case study for three East African Countries that include Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, Kenya appearing to be more affected because of its technology growth. He mentioned some of the top risks management issues affecting businesses around the region. These include Business Interruption and Supply Chain, Corporate Governance, Cyber Crimes among others. Mr. William emphasised on types of the Corporate Intelligence & Due Diligence that would enable you manage and protect your business.
Narrowing down to employers, he stressed on the importance of doing due diligence on your
employees and ensuring you have the right licences to secure your business to improve on
interactions, protecting your clients and making sales on your social media platforms.
Mbabu Muturi, Head of Cyber Security expert at Adili Group introduced the members to Cyber Security as one of the major risks affecting businesses. During this session he mentioned on the importance of Reviewing Policies and Procedures when acquiring the right Business Licences, Managing Social Media Platforms and incorporating Business Intelligence in the business spaces.
Mr.Mbabu emphasised that it is important for the business owners to hire the right technical team to monitor the privacy of their emailing systems, international corporation and simpler policies to enforce in their businesses.
