Join our Breakfast Panel to explore how businesses are navigating localization, supply chains and industrial policy shifts.

The French Chamber of Commerce in Kenya, in partnership with industry leaders, is pleased to host a Breakfast Panel Discussion on Local Content and Manufacturing in Kenya.
📅 Wednesday, 6th May 2026
⏰ 7:30 am – 9:30 am
As Kenya accelerates its industrial policy agenda, the conversation around local content is becoming more immediate, more complex, and more consequential for businesses.
The proposed Local Content Bill introduces clearer expectations around local sourcing, while ongoing geopolitical shifts continue to disrupt traditional supply chains. For many companies, the question is no longer whether to localize, but how to do so in a way that remains commercially viable, operationally efficient, and aligned with global standards.
This panel will bring together senior leaders from across manufacturing, FMCG, and automotive sectors to share practical insights and experiences from the field.
The discussion will explore :
What local content looks like in practice across different industries
Supply chain realities and supplier development strategies
Workforce readiness and capability building
Regulatory considerations and business implications
Balancing localization with competitiveness and global standards
The session will be moderated by Domitille Guilloton, Executive Director of the French Chamber of Commerce in Kenya.
Speakers :
Paloma Lengema, General Manager, BIC East Africa
Nathan Mutiria, Plant Director, L’Oréal East Africa
Arvinder Reel, Managing Director, CFAO Mobility & Chairman, Kenya Motor Industry Association
Joyce Njogu, Head of Consulting, Business Development & Sustainability, Kenya Association of Manufacturers
