Join industry leaders and experts for a timely discussion on risks, resilience and emerging opportunities for European businesses in the region.

As global geopolitical dynamics continue to shift at an unprecedented pace, businesses operating in East Africa are facing an increasingly complex and volatile environment.

The ongoing conflict in the Gulf is creating significant disruptions across global energy markets, shipping routes and commodity prices, forcing companies to reassess risk exposure, supply chain resilience and long-term strategic positioning.

To explore these evolving dynamics, the French Chamber of Commerce in Kenya, in partnership with EuroCham Kenya and Netherlands Business Hub Kenya, is convening a Breakfast Panel Discussion on the Impact of Middle East Geopolitics on East Africa and Opportunities for the EU.

- Tuesday, 19th May 2026
- 7:30 am – 9:30 am

The session will examine how geopolitical developments are reshaping both risks and opportunities for businesses across East Africa, with particular attention to the implications for European companies seeking to strengthen their presence in the region.

Discussions will focus on:

  • The impact of geopolitical tensions on energy, logistics and supply chains

  • Trade and investment opportunities between East Africa and the European Union

  • Supply chain diversification and regional resilience

  • Legal, regulatory and operational considerations for businesses navigating uncertainty

  • Strategic responses to a rapidly evolving global landscape

The panel will feature expert speakers from the European Union, Africa Global Logistics and Bowmans, and will be moderated by Amarante International, bringing a strategic geopolitical and risk perspective to the discussion.

Bringing together business leaders, policymakers and industry experts, the event aims to provide practical insights and support strategic decision-making in a context of growing global uncertainty.

Members and Partners only event.
Registration mandatory before Monday, 18th May at 12:00 pm.
