How data analytics can help prevent fraud and strengthen business decisions : our upcoming breakfast session with BDO East Africa.

We are pleased to invite members and partners to an upcoming breakfast meeting organised in collaboration with BDO East Africa on the theme :

“The Analytics Advantage : Practical Analytics for Fraud Prevention”

As data becomes increasingly central to business performance, risk management, and decision-making, many organisations, especially SMEs, are asking a practical question: how can data analytics be used effectively in day-to-day business operations ?

This session is designed to move beyond theory and focus on the practical business applications of analytics. It will explore how organisations are using data to strengthen internal controls, detect and prevent fraud, support cross-border operations, and improve reporting, oversight, and commercial decision-making.

The discussion will be led by Zahir Sheikh, Partner – Advisory, and will bring together a cross-functional team of experts from BDO East Africa:

Paul Macharia, Manager – IT Advisory
Soumya Vadlamani, Senior Manager – Data Analytics
Joseph Mwanzanje, Manager – Internal Audit
Roger Muhia, Manager – Forensics

With operations across East and Central Africa, BDO East Africa provides advisory, audit, tax, and business support services to companies, institutions, and public sector organisations, with a strong focus on practical and ethical solutions.
