The French Chamber of Commerce is delighted yo invite you to our upcoming breakfast meeting on East Africa’s Economic Outlook and Perspectives for 2025, organized in partnership with the Regional Economic Department of the French Embassy.

As East Africa continues to navigate a dynamic global landscape, this meeting will provides a comprehensive analysis of key economic trends, challenges, and opportunities that will shape the year ahead. With East Africa maintaining its position as one of the fastest-growing regions on the continent, understanding the drivers of growth is more crucial than ever for businesses operating in East African markets. This session will feature insights from:
- Paul Mainguet, Regional Financial Counsellor for East Africa and the Indian Ocean, Deputy Head of the Regional Economic Department, French Treasury
- Juliette Mouden, Regional Financial Attachée, French Treasury
- Clémence Goullet, Financial Officer, French Treasury
The Regional Economic Department in Nairobi is a division of the Directorate General of the French Treasury under the French Ministry of Economy and Finance. It has jurisdiction over the entire East Africa and Indian Ocean region, covering the following countries: Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Uganda, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Madagascar, Comoros, Seychelles, Mauritius, and Tanzania.
The department monitors the macroeconomic and financial situation of the countries in the region, supports the development of French businesses in collaboration with all Team France's stakeholders in Kenya, oversees multilateral and bilateral donor-funded projects, and coordinates the activities of the economic departments within its jurisdiction.
Capacity being limited, registration is mandatory before 26th March 2025 at 12:00 pm noon.
