High-Level Breakfast with Bpifrance- The French Public Investment Bank

Today's High-Level Breakfast Meeting with Bpifrance was a resounding success!

We are thrilled to share the highlights of today's High-level Breakfast Meeting with Bpifrance, held on the 7th of March 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya.

H. E. Arnaud Suquet, the French Ambassador to Kenya, graced the event with his presence, underscoring the importance of the partnership between France and Kenya.

Arnaud Floris, Head of Africa at Bpifrance, highlighted the organization's main mandates, emphasizing their commitment to fostering business development between African and French entrepreneurs through co-financing, co-investment, and co-entrepreneurship initiatives.

Yves Battesti, Regional Manager for Eastern, Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean, shed light on Bpifrance's flagship programs aimed at supporting the development of French companies in Africa, while Marie-Catherine Mollay, Business Developer at Averroès Africa - African Funds of Funds, discussed their diverse investment portfolios and their positive impact on the economic ecosystem. Ramzi Ajami, Export Development Advisor for Bpifrance, provided valuable insights during the presentation, further enriching the discussions.

Mandates and Objectives: Bpifrance's presence in Africa is dedicated to fostering business development between African and French companies through co-financing, co-investing, co-entrepreneurship, and co-industrialization initiatives. They aim to connect companies, investors, and support structures in European and African countries.

Investment Programs: Averroès Africa, managed by Bpifrance Investissement and sponsored by Proparco, aims to support sustainable economic development in Africa by acquiring stakes in development capital and venture capital funds.
