The lecture will be given by Professor Pascal Petteau, Professor at TotalEnergies Professeurs Associés.
Pascal Petteau is a Belgian engineer with a passion for energy and innovation. He has over 35 years of experience in oil and gas industry, working for TotalEnergies in various roles and locations. He has been involved in exploration, production, business development, R&D, and Intellectual property projects in many countries, including Congo, UK, Vietnam, Algeria, China, Saudi, Arabia, Egypt and Qatar.
This event will focus on analyzing different energy sources and their climate impact:
- The causes and effects of greenhouse gases and global warming
- The scenarios and action plans to reduce CO2 emissions
- The characteristics and challenges of sustainable energy sources
- The methodology to evaluate the costs of electricity production
- The new energies for mobility and their environmental impacts
- The latest developments and issues after the Paris Agreement and COP 27
