Breakfast Meeting : Analysis of the Finance Bill 2026 with Forvis Mazars Kenya

A timely briefing to help businesses understand the Finance Bill 2026 and prepare for its potential implications.
This morning, we hosted a Breakfast Meeting on the Analysis of the Finance Bill 2026, organised in partnership with Forvis Mazars Kenya at Novotel Nairobi Westlands.
The session provided members with a timely and practical overview of the proposed measures contained in the Finance Bill 2026, released just ahead of the event. Discussions focused on the Bill’s potential impact on businesses, with particular attention to direct and indirect tax changes, VAT and excise duty measures, procedural updates, and the increasing role of data-driven tax compliance.
The presentation was led by Peter Momanyi, Tax Director at Forvis Mazars Kenya, with opening remarks from Charles Gathuto, Partner at Forvis Mazars Kenya. Together, they helped unpack the key provisions of the Bill and highlighted areas businesses should monitor closely as the legislative process continues.
The discussion also placed the Finance Bill within a broader regional and economic context, including East African Community integration, tax collection efficiency, compliance expectations, and the government’s wider revenue strategy.
We warmly thank Forvis Mazars Kenya, Peter Momanyi, Charles Gathuto, Novotel Nairobi Westlands, and all participants for contributing to such an insightful and relevant session.
