Spotlight On TRIFIC SEZ
Unpacking Special Economic Zones with TRIFIC SEZ
We hosted a thought-provoking breakfast session with Brenda Mbathi, CEO of TRIFIC SEZ, exploring how Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are accelerating Kenya’s and Africa’s next growth phase.
Brenda highlighted that Africa’s momentum is real, innovation, trade, and human capital are converging fast. Within a decade, 1 in 4 global workers will be African, fueling not only the workforce but also digital and economic transformation.
SEZs are emerging as key accelerators, aligning infrastructure, regulation, and incentives to attract investment and create jobs. With $1.5 trillion in global trade set to shift through nearshoring by 2030, Kenya stands ready offering fiscal agility, talent mobility, and operational efficiency.
At TRIFIC SEZ, companies like Teleperformance are already thriving, proof that Africa’s conversation has truly shifted from potential to performance.
