Climate Fresk: A Practical Workshop for Businesses

On Friday, 18th September 2026, our chamber was pleased to host the second edition of the Climate Fresk workshop at our offices, in partnership with Climate Fresk Kenya.

Led by experienced environmentalist and community facilitator Hashu Derrick Kidavasi, this interactive session brought together participants to map out the science of climate change using an IPCC-based framework. The workshop went beyond theory, equipping attendees with a framework to anticipate interconnected risks, showing how climate shocks cascade directly into supply chains, operations, and business bottom lines.

Key takeaways from the session:

  • Understanding systemic risk: grasping how environmental disruptions ripple through ecosystems, economies, and communities.

  • Science-backed insights: mapping the direct connection between human activity, greenhouse gas emissions, and extreme weather phenomena using climate science.

  • Differential impacts: analyzing how climate risks affect health, food security, and biodiversity, with a focus on vulnerable populations.

  • Practical solutions and agency: exploring actionable steps, from renewable energy and climate-smart agriculture to operational waste reduction, that businesses and individuals can implement immediately.

Thank you to Hashu Derrick Kidavasi for guiding this session, and to all the participants who joined us to strengthen business resilience and drive sustainable climate action!
